Session Day Recap: Hanford

Leadership Tri-Cities Class XXVII explores Hanford!

In their final session before graduation, Class 27 received an extensive overview of the Hanford Site.

For more than 40 years, reactors located at Hanford produced plutonium for America’s defense program.

Today, all the facilities and structures that were associated with Hanford’s defense mission must be deactivated, decommissioned, decontaminated, and demolished. That environmental cleanup project is the work currently underway. Participants will hear about the challenges associated with cleaning up this historical site.  Federal, Contractor and Stakeholder representatives will explain their roles at Hanford and their vision for the future.

Thank you to our:
