Our program is designed to give you an immersive learning experience through ten sessions that cover key sectors and industries shaping our region.
You will also go through a team-building retreat and five leadership development evenings to cultivate your leadership skill set.

August 7 to 8 - Class Retreat
Learn about team-building, interpersonal communication, and leadership in a practical, hands-on environment while discovering your personal development and growth opportunities.

Sept 16 - Session 1: Human Needs & Services
Learn about the organizations, services, and programs in our region providing critical services addressing poverty, mental illness, substance abuse, developmental disabilities, and youth development.
Oct 14 - Leadership Development Evening
Oct 21 - Session 2: Medical & Community Health
Learn about the dynamic and growing health care industry and how it impacts our region.
Nov 18 - Session 3: Law Enforcement and Justice
Learn about the challenges and opportunities in making our community safe through an in-depth examination of the police system, legal system, and corrections system in the Mid-Columbia.
Dec 10 - Session 4: Education
Learn about the full spectrum of our education system, pre-Kindergarten to graduate school, and see how schools and post-secondary institutions strive to deliver the most comprehensive educational experience.
Jan 13 - Leadership Development Evening
Jan 26 to Jan 28 - Session 5: Local and State Government
During this multi-day session, learn about city, county and state government operations first-hand from both elected and appointed leaders. Includes a highly popular overnight trip to Olympia where class members experience our State Capital during the bustle of the legislative session.
Feb 17 - Session 6: Agriculture
Learn about agribusiness in our region and become familiar current issues affecting it including water rights and use, environmental factors, labor, and crop diversity in the Mid-Columbia.
Mar 10 - Leadership Development Evening
Mar 17 - Session 7: Economic Development
Learn about the strategies, drivers, and needs to diversify and strengthen our regional economy and the agencies and organizations working to accomplish this mission.
Apr 21 - Session 8: Art and Entertainment Session Day
Learn about the vast diversity of the performing, literary, and visual arts, and cultural organizations across our region enhancing our quality of life.
May 12 - Leadership Development Evening
May 19 - Session 9: Hanford Session Day
Learn about the Hanford Site from the Manhattan Project to present day clean-up and understand its complexity, reach, and impact in our region.
Jun 9 - Session 10: Leadership Forward and Graduation
Learn how to apply your knowledge and experiences into serving as a catalyst for positive change in our community. That night, present your cumulative class project to the community and celebrate as a graduated member of Leadership Tri-Cities.
