Meet the New Class |
Name: Abby Runner
Company: Girl Scouts of Eastern WA & Northern ID
Title: Volunteer Support Manager
My Superpower is: Travel Planning | I have a knack for creating well-organized travel itineraries that blend the company of friends, exploration of new destinations, and enjoyment of excellent food. It’s a joy to see plans come together in a way that maximizes enjoyment and creates lasting memories.
I am genuinely excited about the opportunity to build relationships with my fellow participants and to contribute in a meaningful way to the Tri-Cities community. It’s a privilege to be part of a program dedicated to personal and professional growth, and I look forward to learning from others while also giving back to the area that has given me so much.
I would be honored to meet Juliette Gordon Low, the founder of the Girl Scouts. Her vision and dedication to empowering young girls continue to inspire me in my role with the organization.
Those who know me well describe me as a problem solver who is both generous and encouraging. I strive to approach challenges with a positive attitude and to support others in their endeavors.
I would be thrilled to engage in projects that focus on supporting women and children, as these are causes I am deeply passionate about. Additionally, I have a strong appreciation for the arts and would love to work on initiatives that promote and celebrate local artistic endeavors.
Originally from Wisconsin, where the long winters can be brutal, I truly appreciate the warm, dry, climate of the Tri Cities. It allows me to enjoy the walking paths by the river, particularly around Columbia Point and Howard Amon Park. These areas offer a wonderful escape and a chance to appreciate the natural beauty of our rivers.
I believe our local businesses deserve more recognition. They contribute uniquely to the character of our community and play a crucial role in its vitality. Their generosity and dedication are integral to the thriving spirit of the Tri-Cities.
